What does a healing journey look like?
Having had my own personal health journey, what I like to do, is help clients heal and prevent them from going down the same path that I did.
Here are 5 important lessons I have learnt as part of my own health journey:
- Healing takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight. There is no magic pill or strategy that is going to make you feel better straight away. Healing is a holistic approach and requires you to work on your whole body (not just your adrenals or your gut for example). That’s why I love using HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis).
- It is important to get to the root cause of your symptoms. For example, many gut issues like bacterial overgrowth, infections or candida are due to low stomach acid. Once we fix the environment, symptoms will improve.
- Consistency is key. Healing takes commitment. While clients start to feel better quickly, the real results are 3-4 months down the track. This especially the case with mineral imbalances.
- Healing is not LINEAR. While for the most part, when we embark on a healing journey, it is a positive experience. In some cases, we can encounter a healing reaction. Eg fatigue or skin issues are common. Essentially the body is “waking up” and removing toxins from its environment. This is often a good sign that the recommended protocol is working.
- If you are struggling with a health condition eg fatigue or headaches, it is usually not ONE root cause. Health conditions develop due to the perfect storm of many factors. It requires a multifactorial approach.
